INDIAN COUNCIL OF MEDICAL RESEARCH
WALK-IN-INTERVIEWS
The following personnel, purely on temporary basis are needed at the National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health, Parel, Mumbai:
1. Scientist I - One Post
Project entitled: “Bio-medical Informatics Centre of ICMR”
Qualification and Experience:
Essential: First clbottom M.Sc /MCA with knowledge of bioinformatics, computer programming and database design
Desirable: PG Diploma in Bioinformatics
Job Requirements: The incumbent will be required to bottomist in establishing and maintaining services at biomedical informatics centre, should
bottomist scientists of the host institute and regional medical colleges in implementing and using bioinformatics tools for research
activities.
Age: Below 28 years (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per GOI rules)
Consolidated salary: Rs. 13,360/- p.m. (fixed)
2. Scientist II - One post
Project entitled: “Bio-medical Informatics Centre of ICMR”
Qualification and Experience:
Essential: First clbottom M.Sc in any branch of Life Sciences with at least 3 years of research experience in bioinformatics OR Ph.D in Life
Sciences with research experience in molecular biology and bioinformatics.
Desirable: Peer reviewed publications in relevant area.
Job Requirements: The incumbent will be required to initiate research activities in the areas of bioinformatics at the Centre, should bottomist
scientists in the institute and regional medical colleges in using bioinformatics tools in the research activities. The incumbent will be required to
analyze the research data generated by the institute and design databases using the research data.
Age: Below 45 years (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per GOI rules)
Consolidated salary: Rs. 16,700/- p.m. (fixed)
The appointment will be purely on temporary basis till the project is continued. The appointee will not have any claim for a regular post in the
institute or in any department of GOI. Persons on regular time scale service in government organizations/ institutions are not eligible for applying
for the post.
