Impressive! I mirrored these on my blog (see sig) with due credit just in case Bioplanet get hacked again :| Losing all forum posts = uncool.

What kind of job did you get? Your formation? Etc...
I think we would like to know were you ended. Of course, without giving too much details :)

actually it's right up your alley - AIDS research. I will be working in the Bushman lab at UPenn. I interviewed at a couple other places but this job offered a lot of autonomy and my wife really wanted to live in the city.

for all those looking I suggest you:
A) Get something published while you are still in school - otherwise you will have very little to show prospective employers

B) Get your references in order and inform them that you are listing them as a reference. You will need people on your side.

C) Be patient but vigilant - check all these links at least every other day. The market is very competitive. If you are getting the interviews then you are on the right track and something will come along soon. If you are not getting any interviews you might need to raise your profile - work on your cover letter and CV, get Java or Oracle certified, and contribute to open-source projects.
