Gas Treating Engineer
  • Our Client is a multi-billion dollar specialty chemical MNC, with rapid expansion across Asia Pacific, they are seeking:

    Gas Treating Engineer (Asia Pacific)
    - Based in Singapore

    Reporting to the Asia Pacific Gas Treating Head, the incumbent will be based in Singapore and should:

    • Provide technical consultation to internal and external clients and troubleshoot technical problems
    • Drive technical engineering support to the regional sales team
    • Perform product demonstrations and process simulations for clients
    • Develop strong relationships with clients
    • Provide technical input to the product development team for development of new products/applications
    • Provide excellent after sales technical support
    • Monitor best practices and trends in the refining industry and work with the sales team to devise market strategies

    • At least 4 yrs experience in process engineering in an oil/gas refining, petrochemical facilities
    • Must have process gas separation, gas processing, gas scrubbing, gas compression experience
    • Applicants with experience in amines in gas treating will have an advantage.
    • Computer experience and complete understanding of process simulation software such as HYSYS, TSWEET, PROMAX, PRO2 or similar software
    • Knowledge of EH&S best practices in the context of modern process plant operations
    • Computer experience in basic operation for Excel, Word etc
    • Self-motivation to work independently with limited supervision
    • Effective interpersonal and communications skills.
    • Travel to regional sites is required.
    • Strong team player.
    • Creativity in problem solving.
    • At least a Degree in Chemical Engineering
